School Uniform

FROM SEPTEMBER 2024 WE ARE UPDATING OUR UNIFORM AND PE KIT.

THIS WILL BE A PHASED APPROACH FOR CURRENT PUPILS BUT ALL NEW PUPILS WILL NEED THE NEW UNIFORM (THE KIT SHOP WILL BE ABLE TO ADVISE).

At West Ashtead we pride ourselves in looking smart with our school uniform. Wearing uniform promotes a sense of community within the school and allows children to demonstrate their pride in their school, both within school and when they are out in the local community.

School uniforms are provided by The Kit Shop and can be ordered online here.

Jewellery, Hair & Make-up

Jewellery such as rings, earrings or bracelets are not to be worn to school. In pierced ears, a plain round stud may be worn but must be removed for physical activities (including dance, gymnastics and swimming).  We are not able to apply tape over them.

We allow children to wear watches but they remain the responsibility of the child at all times.  NO Smart Watches.  The school can accept no responsibility of any loss or damage

For safety reasons, hair longert than shoulder length hould be tied back at all times, by all children.

No extreme styles of haircuts or eyebrow shavings are allowed.

Hair must be of a natural colour and not dyed.  

Hair accessories should be of a sensible size and in the school colours of blue.

Make-up and nail varnish are not allowed to be worn at school at any time and will be removed,

Religious Beliefs

If you would like your child to wear clothing or jewellery specific to a particular religious belief, please contact us to discuss potential issues of educational standards and security.

Second Hand Uniform

As well as the provider listed above, second hand uniform is available to purchase from the school FOWA  directly.  Please contact them with your requirements. 

The Friends of the school also sell second hand uniform at organised fairs e.g., Summer fair.

P.E. KITS

The days that the children have PE, they should wear their PE kits to school.  The class teacher can advise the days that the children have PE.
